About This Game "Arguing that you don't care about the right to privacy because you have nothing to hide is no different than saying you don't care about free speech because you have nothing to say." - Edward SnowdenMainlining is a thrilling point and click hacking adventure that mixes dark and dry humour with a gripping narrative that will have you hooked from the very first case. Following the government's introduction of the BLU Pill Act and the Secret Intelligence Service's reintroduction of MI7, all online personal data is accessible by the powers that be. Mainlining questions techno-ethics and whether it is acceptable for an organisation to have the power to look at personal data. What if someone else got the key to that?Mainlining and its BLU Pill Act mirrors what's happening in our own world. On November 4th 2015 the The Draft Investigatory Powers Bill was discussed in the British Parliament's House of Commons for the very first time. It’s likely that the bill will be passed sometime in 2016, meaning that domestic mobile and broadband providers will be forced to assist authorities with gathering data and storing it for a year. The police and security services will have access to the top line of the UK’s population browsing history, as well as knowing what apps have been used.Referred to in the popular media as “the Snooper’s Charter” and opposed by a number of civil and human rights organisations, the Investigatory Powers Bill is positioned to aid security forces in tracking terrorists and serious cyber criminals who use increasingly sophisticated online methods. Mainlining is a refreshing take on the traditional point and click adventure. The entire game takes place on the simulated desktop of the protagonist’s computer. Assuming the role of a newly recruited MI7 agent and working within the remit of the Blu Pill Act, the player must use their skill, judgement and cunningness to gather evidence by hacking suspects’ computers and phones. As a MI7 operative your primary objectives are to ensure the perpetrator’s arrest and that the courts have sufficient evidence to hand out the longest custodial sentences possible. However, you’ll also have to make judgements on whether the case you're working on is complete. Move in too quickly and you may miss leads linking your case to much higher profile cyber-criminals. Act too slowly and your suspect may detect you and escape. In excess of five hundred known criminals are known to operate within your jurisdiction, who will you investigate? The driving force behind Rebelephant is British-born developer and designer, Sam Read. Highlighted by internationally renowned publication Develop as one of the 30-under-30 to watch out for, Sam has already tasted success as a key member of the HyperSloth team and their critically acclaimed first-person adventure, Dream. Owner of Rebelephant, Sam is responsible for the design, direction and coding of Mainlining. To fit in with the game's 2009, feel Rebelephant has called upon the artistic talents of Dave Grey who, in his own words, "Makes things with pixels. Like games and stories and things". Dave's previous collaborations include Microsoft and HBO.Mainlining relies heavily on an energetic narrative that draws the player into the game, blurring the lines between reality and the imaginary world of MI7. Rebelephant wasted no time and called upon one of the best scriptwriters in the business, Canadian novelist Jill Murray. Jill was nominated for Writers Guild Award for Outstanding Video Game Writing for her work on Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag and won the award for scriptwriting on Assassin’s Creed III: Liberation. For the final part of the jigsaw Rebelephant has drafted in the sublime audio talents of Jared Emerson-Johnson. BAFTA nominated, Jared's scores include Telltale Games' Sam & Max series, The Walking Dead, The Wolf Among Us, Tales From the Borderlands and Game of Thrones. 7aa9394dea Title: MainliningGenre: Adventure, Indie, SimulationDeveloper:RebelephantPublisher:Merge GamesRelease Date: 26 Jan, 2017 Mainlining Download Apkpure mainlining methadone. mainlining elma ny. mainlining vodka. mainlining tequila. mainlining flowering. mainlining download. mainlining haszysz. mainlining tequila. mainlining from seed. mainlining training. mainlining sunxi. mainlining pc game. mainlining vs super cropping. mainlining wine. mainline window systems. mainlining growing technique. mainlining mission 3. mainlining walkthrough case 2. mainlining bedeutung. best mainlining strains. mainlining from seed. mainlining weed timelapse. mainlining 2. mainlining in drug use. mainlining videos. mainlining meaning in english. mainlining case 1. mainlining rival hacker. mainlining game how many cases. mainlining grow journal. mainlining america rochester ny. mainlining meaning in hindi. mainlining sunxi. mainlining meaning. mainlining skidrow. mainlining hydroponics. mainlining grow journal. mainline windows tipton. mainlining outdoors. mainlining into. mainlining the monster. mainlining average yield. mainlining flowering. o mainlining. mainlining examples. mainlining dictionary. mainlining gameplay. mainlining quotes. mainlining nebula haze. mainlining drug term. mainlining pics. mainlining pc review. main line windows. mainlining case 5 walkthrough. mainlining dmt. mainlining bedeutung. phrase mainlining. jesus mainlining. mainlining case 2 A very challenging yet fun game.. Great game, has some really interesting gameplay mechanics and a good storyline which doesn't get boring.I've tried other hacking games and they may be nice, but they have their problems (no story - only hacking, overcomplicated or have timed events), and so far Mainlining is the one that I've actually enjoyed. The difficulty balance is great as well - puzzles are logical, and the game thankfully doesn't punish you for making wrong decisions so you don't have to start over.Other reviewers have complained about bugs, this is why I've decided to write a review - I haven't encountered any bugs in my whole playthrough. I'm not saying there are no bugs, but at least I think the situation is not as bad as other reviewers describe it.If you like hacking games, I do recommend it.. This is a pretty well-done implementation of a cool idea. You're on a Windows 95-analogue machine, trying to track down criminals with a very limited interface. Come for the nostalgic dial tone, stay for the detective work of following down leads.. Definitely an addictive puzzle/crime solving game.. Solve cases by pseudo-hacking other people's accounts and look for contextual clues to the case at hand. Submit the suspect, location, and evidence pointing to the case to produce an arrest.I just finished the 3rd case. I've had to look online for help in every case. This makes me think the game is poorly designed.A few good ideas, but overall poor execution.Good ideas- I like the pixel art- I enjoy the pseudo emulation of an older Operating SystemPoor Execution- there are seemingly several ways to try to convict a suspect, given the multitude of evidence pieces one can submit; however this quickly turns into trial-and-error. Given a suspect / location / evidence combination, you'll be graded right or wrong. Submitting a wrong answer does not produce a penalty. You end up submitting several combinations in order to solve the case. This becomes frustrating, as it's no longer a logic-based game, but one where you *think* you have it right, get it wrong, then submit all other logical combinations in frustration. It's almost there, but not good enough for me to recommend.. great game if u like to play games like orwell or paper please. quot;Unique" is a great word to describe Mainlining, there's nothing quite like it out there. At its heart, the game is a point and click adventure. The subject matter surrounds techno-ethics and hacking. The story is very well written and the game works hard to immerse the player into a parallel world set in the shady corners of 2010's internet. Graphically the game uses cool pixel art and the soundtrack complements the game perfectly without ever getting in the way. There are a number of different outcomes to each case which offers some level of replayability. I encountered on or two glitches and bugs but the game’s lone developer is working hard to fix these as they pop up. I’ve enjoyed Mainlining a lot. It’s like reading a good book, full of twists and turns and a large spoonful of humour.. Tough to deal with. Has little opportunities for things like exploration, customization, control optimization. Like Hacknet or Hypnospace Outlaw on rails.
